April 14 - Day 2 Homeward Bound

April 14, 2015  •  Leave a Comment

Monday morning we went with our hosts Ann and Michael and a group of their friends for a walk in the beautiful ranchland hills between Swan Lake and Goose Lake in Vernon. After a quick lunch, we left the greenery of the Okanagan and drove north to Sicamous and the Trans-Canada. The weather from here through the mountains was overcast, but the roads were bare and dry. We spent the first night on the road in Canmore.

Today the roads again were bare and dry, but the sun did manage to shine. The temperature at Medicine Hat was the warmest, at 20C. We continued to Swift Current, where we are spending the night.

Today's photo depicts the spring colours near Vernon.
