A week of early rising - up at 6:00 a.m. and then out the door - has been tiring. I'm not normally an early riser. So it came as a "relief" when yesterday was a rainy morning.
But being on location for early twilight and sunrise has its rewards. As I was driving on Sunday morning, I suddenly realized that the clouds on eastern horizon were beginning to glow. The big question was where do I go to get a decent foreground to photograph this. I drove through Lively (and past the Tim Horton's) and found this wetland just north of the town.
14-09-30 With luck I had a patch of foreground flowers and a light fog in the wetland to make this image.
My other location that morning was at St. Poithier Lake, where I again caught the fog and continued photographing as this fog slowly cleared, revealing the coloured trees across the lake.
Getting up had its rewards. My last stop was for a Tim's coffee.
