If you are wondering where Coldstream is, it sits immediately on the southern edge of Vernon.

With the closing of Silver Star Mountain Resort, we have had to decide when to depart for home.

With the sunshine and spring conditions here, it will be a challenge to return to snow and freezing temperatures.

No snow in town, but as you ascend, you will find greater amounts of snow still remaining.

The snow conditions for skiing still are excellent, but...

We have been packing, buying supplies for the homeward drive, and house cleaning.

_02A4029 Now it's the time to pack our vehicle - always a challenge.

This shows part of our load, with a few more items still in the house.

I'm not sure what challenges we will face on the trip. We just heard from friends who just got back to Toronto that gas stations have closed their washrooms. I guess we'll take along a supply of that most hoarded commodity - toilet paper.

We will be leaving tomorrow morning, driving in tandem with Mo and Dennis Hunkin, as we did on our journey coming here.
