February 25 - Time Flies

February 25, 2022  •  Leave a Comment

Here we are almost at the end of February. Time seems to have passed quickly. Skiing has been mediocre, with scant new snowfall, so the pistes are very firm. But it is still better than eastern skiing.

As for photography, the conditions have not been much better. No snow and bald blue skies have become the norm.

One Saturday we drove south with friends Anna and Ken to visit a couple wineries in Okanagan Falls. We first had lunch at See Ya Later Ranch, and then made our way to Liquidity Winery for a tasting. This sculpture is outside the winery.

We next visited Upper Bench Winery which is situated on the Naramata Bench, north of Penticton.

This winery also produces cheese - the Brie style was excellent.

Here are a few images that I created recently here in the Okanagan.

These trees I spotted above Kalamalka Lake in Coldstream.

C_22_02_23_001C_22_02_23_001 One afternoon I took a drive east along Highway 6 in the Coldstream Valley, where I found this barn and willow tree.

Near Lumby I photographed this whimsical decor on a farmer's fence.

M_22_02_23_002M_22_02_23_002 I'll close with a slide scan that I recently processed, a photo taken at Iron Bridge.
