October 24 - Portugal, Day 7

We arrived at our current lodgings late yesterday afternoon - late because our GPS sent us off route. At an intersection of two motorways, our GPS sent us onto the A-1, whereas at the intersection Veda said that we want motorway A-15. There was no time other than to make a quick decision, so I followed the GPS. After a few kilometers we realized that we were heading north rather than east to our destination. After a few kilometers, where there are few opportunities to turn back, our GPS directed us to a place where we could turn around and backtrack. So much for technology: unneeded kilometers, extra tolls, extra gas, lost time!

This first photo shows the house in which we are staying in the small village of Gracierias.

It's a fantastic find. We love it. More on this in another post.

Today we spent walking about a nearby walled town, Obidos.

Here are few random images of scenes in Obidos.
