Fog, frost, and sun - that aptly describes our weather over the last two weeks.

The valley where we are living has been gray, blanketed in fog most of these last two weeks. But how can we complain when the temperatures have hovered between -7° and +4°C.

This photo, taken across the street from our house, illustrates how gray it has been here in town.

_I7A2852 The hoar frost is stunning, but the scene would have been magnificent if there had been sunshine.

_I7A2835 Then when the sun briefly spotlights a frosty tree, a much more compelling photo can be created.

Fog can be a benefit, as here it obscures a busy background. The tree becomes the dominant feature.

Most days, as we ascended the mountain road, we were eventually drove out and above the fog-cover in the valley.

_I7A2900 Here the valley is blanketed in fog. But the Monashee Mountain Range provides an epic landscape in the sunshine.

_I7A2919 _I7A2878 Skiing in sunshine is wonderful. But fresh snow is what we are wishing for.

A few runs on the same manicured slopes are fine, but then we move to plan "B", a.k.a. Bugaboos Café.

_I7A2914 The coffee is very good, but the array of baked items makes my mouth water. So much to choose from.

The best are Frank's (the owner) cinnamon buns - some of the best anywhere.

Thus it is never a bad day when this is our last run.
