Day 7 - Lakes Bled and Bohinj

We were up very early this morning. I think most would classify 5:00 a.m. as early.

I was hoping for nice sunrise.

This is early morning on Lake Bled.

What surprised me most was that there were no other photographers out for the sunrise.

After the good light dissipated, we returned to our airb&b to make breakfast.

But before having my coffee, I ventured into the village to look for photo opportunities.

Then it was time for a little breakfast and a nap to clear the early riser cob webs!

Problem was then that it had started raining. After a short period of indecisiveness, we thought that at least we should venture out on a drive even though the rain at times was quite heavy.

This was the rainy view down the valley.

Our first stop was in Bohinjska Bistrica to buy umbrellas. Of course then the rain let up.

We carried on toward Lake Bohinj for a little lunch and coffee.

We drove to the village of Studor where there were a number of these unique hay drying stacks.

It appears that these are advertised as a tourism draw since most are not used for their original purpose.

But we found it interesting wandering around this small village.

We did one final tour along Lake Bohinj.

I thought that I had to make it into one photo to prove that I was here. So I set my camera up on my tripod for this photo.

Then back to our rooms where we cooked our own dinner (with wine, of course).
