Greek Islands Trip - Day 21
This was our last full day in the Greek Islands. Veda and Grace went on a volcano and hot springs excursion, which took them to an uninhabited island near the centre of the caldera, The National Geological Park of Nea Kameni. This area has lain dormant since its last eruption in 1950. In the park they saw fumaroles emitting hot gases. Grace took a swim in the hot springs at the shore of the island.
Tonight we had dinner at a restaurant overlooking the crater. We had a bottle of Santorini red wine, which was excellent. They've come a long way since Retsina.
