January 26 - Photo of the Day
This weekend brought some very mild weather to the Okanagan. Saturday it was +5C in town. In the afternoon it rained here and on the mountain - not good for skiing. Sunday was beautiful and sunny. So we went for a drive north of Vernon in Spamulcheen. As depicted in this photo, there was more than the usual amount of snow on the ground.

We also saw a few hawks and this bald eagle.

Skiing this morning was not good - quite icy - so this called for an early coffee break. After 10:00 the sun and warm temperature had softened the snow, making the skiing enjoyable. It appears that this will be our weather for most of this week.
