Congratulations to my good friend Benoit Cazabon on the upcoming publication of his new novel, "Tout depend de vous."

Unfortunately, I will not be able to read it without translation as his novel is written in French. This is the cover, so those of you who read French are encouraged to purchase a copy.

couv Tout dépend de vous ! 17mm.indd Thanks to Benoit for choosing one of my photographs for the cover. The image is of vineyards and the Dentelles du Montmirail, near the village of Suzette, Vaucluse, in the south-east of France. This is a crop from a horizontal photo.

In making the photo, I used the rows of vines as lead-in lines, thus drawing the viewers eye up toward the craggy peaks. This also adds depth, or a third dimension, to a two-dimensional image. This is a technique often used by photographers.
