February 13 - Veda and Her New Friend
For the last month I've been spending my time skiing at Silver Star Mountain Resort, near Vernon, British Columbia. Because of my preoccupation with skiing I've neglected my photography.
Every February Vernon celebrates its winter carnival. One of the carnival's events is an ice sculpture contest. So the other day I decided to photograph some of these sculptures, which are located at the village at Silver Star resort.
This image depicts Veda with her new friend, Kayla, beside a large camera.

An explanation is in order. No, we do not now have a dog. We are looking after Kayla (she is a Vizsula) while the owners of the house in which we are staying are on vacation.
