Ever since I can remember, this cedar-log sauna was a Saturday night ritual as I was growing up. My father would fire up the stove until the temperatures often reached an almost unbearable 200°F. Following our sauna time, we would return to the house and drink our coffees with my mother's freshly-baked nisua (Finnish cardamon bun). Then it was time for Hockey Night in Canada with Foster Hewitt.

This building was originally a playhouse Father built for us when we were young. A number of years ago he hauled it up to my house on his boat trailer behind his ATV. After making some renovations to it (new roofing, siding replacements as necessary, painting), it now serves as a storage shed behind my house.
These two photos reveal the changeable weather conditions we experienced during the day.
