Sunny today, but cold and windy - not May weather.
This is the first wild flower that we have seen blooming this spring. Veda found it in our front forest.
Violet (A,Radius8,Smoothing4)Sweet White Violet
This is a Sweet White Violet (Viola blanda).
Photo information: I had to get in very close with my 100mm macro lens on my Canon 7D Mark II. With the sensor crop factor, the lens was equivalent to 160 mm. These flowers are only ½ inch across. So I took 8 photos focusing on different spots of the flowers. I then focus stacked these images using a program called Helicon Focus, because at this close range, there is little depth of field (areas of sharpness).
This then builds an image with more areas of sharpness.
