Yesterday, in Moosomin, after the storm had passed and the sun had come out, we went into town to an Italian restaurant for dinner.
This is the main street after crews had plowed the wet snow, to the middle of the street.

This morning, in Moosomin, where the blowing snow has created some unique scenes.
I must make a correction from yesterday's blog: Moosomin in only about ten kilometres from the Manitoba border.

This is how the Trans-Canada Highway looked as we left this morning.
With the snow having been cleared and the sun shining late yesterday, the remaining snow on the road had quickly melted.

So into Manitoba we drove. I'm sure you recognize this as being in Manitoba!
We saw less snow in the fields as we approached Brandon. Further east, many of the fields were covered with water.. The landscape east to Winnipeg and also east of the city is flat - as flat as a table top. Not photographically inspiring.

This is at a rest stop as we began to leave the prairies and enter the Canadian Shield.
Then we crossed into Ontario and stopped for the night in Kenora, just as wet snow flurries were beginning to fall.
This is the end of April when we did not expect to encounter such wintery conditions. Today the thermometer never rose above the freezing mark.
