Greetings from Cortina d'Ampezzo.
The early morning was not promising, with a low cloud hanging over the valley.
So we decided to wait a while, and we were in luck. It began to brighten up.
We decided to drive up Passo Falzarego, to the west of town.
One would think it was winter here, with how Jane and Veda are dressed.
We then took a chairlift up the mountains to an area called Cinque Terri.
These are the five peaks, though one is hidden from this point of view.
We could see many rock climbers on these crags, and some standing on the top.
Here we see two of them on the rock face.
We were enthralled with the views, and how the clouds hid the mountains and then revealed them as they swirled around.
Reluctantly we departed, and returned to Cortina.
After the ominous weather forecasts from the night before, this turned out to be a superb day.
