August 18 - New Gallery

One subject many of us photographers are drawn to are old buildings, particularly those that are neglected, run down, abandoned, or in various states of disrepair. Sometimes we'll make an image of the entire structure, as in this old house in the Palouse region of Washington state.

On other occasions I will look for details, such as closeups of doors, windows, etc., or create abstracts like below.

Photographers are also enamoured with old vehicles, those that have been allowed to rust away. These we find in wrecking yards, sometimes in car lots when they are for sale, or in lonely fields.

Again I'll sometimes photograph the entire vehicle, like this one on the road side near Webbwood, Ontario.

More often my preference is to make closeup images of the details or create abstracts using the peeling paint and rust.

To access these photos, on my Home Page click on "Galleries." From this list, choose "Abandoned."

I do also enjoy photographing modern architecture and pristine vehicles, whether they are new or collectibles.

Also while you may be perusing my galleries, click on "Recent Work" to see some of my newer images.
