Our next stop, for two nights, was in Chefchaouen, in the Rif Mountains.

Chefchaouen is known as the blue city.

The buildings in its medina were washed in blue by its resident Jews in the 18th century, to contrast with the Muslim traditional colours.

After settling into our room in the Hotel Madrid, I decided to check out the near-by medina.

All of these photos were created after darkness had settled in.

Photos from then will be in my next blog. Stay tuned.
