This year we had a green Christmas in many parts of Ontario, certainly where we spent this holiday period in Goderich and Brantford.
These same conditions still persisted today on our drive home. We had a couple small snow squalls near Shelburne and Stayner, but the countryside was barren of snow.
I made today's photo of Highway 400 at Parry Sound to illustrate the unseasonable weather.

I have not seen this area without snow at this time of the year in our recent travels to our Christmas celebrations.
But further north we ran into two snow squalls - a brief one near Key River and a more intense one near Estaire, one that lasted most of the drive to Sudbury.
