Today we drove around Galway Bay from County Galway to County Clare on the southern side. We had a beautiful sunny day in this area.
One of our visits was to Poulnabrane Dolmen. This ancient site, pictured below, dates from 3000 to 5000 years ago. This was a burial site from that period. Thirty-three bodies were discovered in its excavation.

There was a short time when the sun shone, but this was brief, and then it clouded over in the west. Nevertheless, the sight of these cliffs is spectacular. But this is a busy tourist destination, but few were around in the evening (and no tour buses), making the visit much more pleasant.
