May 1 - We Are Home

We arrived home last Thursday. Since then it has been as series of chores: unpacking the vehicle, putting away and storing our ski clothes, taking down Christmas decorations and lights, sorting mail, and outdoor cleanup (which includes piling firewood into the woodshed).

I'll give a short summary of our drive home, since my last blog post. The whole drive was very good, with dry roads and no snow or rain. We were fortunate to have crossed the prairies before the blizzards that hit.

The displays of past violations of human rights and progress in ensuring these situations do not recur, in Canada and around the world, are exceptionally well presented. And the building is an architectural masterpiece.

_02A4275_02A4275 As we got closer to Ontario we seemed to be coming back to winter, with snow patches and frozen lakes, including the bays along the north shore of Lake Superior. This photo I made at Red Rock, on Superior's north shore.

Thanks to them for a wonderful dinner, great bed and breakfast. Next stop was in Elliot Lake, and then home.
