Friday was Silver Star Mountain's annual Ontario Day, where the Ontario Ski Buddies and friends gather at the top of the mountain for their remembrances of those who have passed on while they ski down to the village.
But, to paraphrase Robert Burns, the best laid plans of mice and men often go awry.
This was the situation on Friday. The Comet Express chair had mechanical problems, so a ski down from the top proved to be problematic.
Unaware of changes in the original plan, some of us did gather at the top of the gondola. Here are a few random photos of this disparate group.

From here this group skied to the village and gathered with the rest of the Ontarioans at the Red Antler for lunch and entertainment.
We thank the organizers (Karen, Judy, Debbie) for setting this all up.
