Spring has arrived in the Okanagan Valley. But you would not recognize this if you were at Silver Star Mountain Resort.
C_23_0112 This is what it looks like right now, in one of the residential areas.
The mountain has received more than 700 cm of snow this winter. There is still a lot of snow on the ski runs. The one way a skier would realize that it really is spring is with the mild temperatures and the clear blue sunny days.
But down in the valley it is a different story.

We have had very little snow in town in the last two months. Today it was +14°C.
Kalamalka Lake, which you see in the above photo, has been ice free all winter.
